Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandi Ayala.
Hi Brandi, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Ever since I can remember taking photos of my friends and knowing a photo lasts forever just gives me all the FEELS. There is something REALLY magical about looking back and remembering that feeling. My passion for photography has really always been a part of my day-to-day life, but I never realized just how much I truly loved it, until after the birth of my first child. From that moment on, I was certain I wanted to see the world through his little eyes. I have been shooting professionally for a little over 9 years now, but I purchased my first Nikon when my oldest was a newborn and he will be 13 years old in October.

As a proud mother of three “Pucker babies” as I like to call them! I truly understand the importance of capturing every special moment and feel really lucky to share this with each of my clients. Children always seem to make things fun and interesting no matter what scenario and I do my best to showcase just that in each session. It is no secret I LOVE shooting families, soon-to-be mamas, and children, but when given the opportunity I do branch out and try new things. I hope you will “Pucker” up to my camera in the near future!!!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would love to say that it has been an easy road since I started but I have had my share of things I had to conquer as a small business and many tears along the way of course. Running a business takes a lot of hard work from being the scheduler, accountant, stylist, shooter, and editor for each session. I have found that I am extremely organized in my everyday life so that has really helped me stay on track with my little business.

I am grateful for an amazing support system from my husband, family, and friends. Their support of them has given me some success and just always grateful to keep learning and getting to wake up and be a part of those special moments.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a photographer who specializes in portrait photography. (ie:) Family, Children, Headshots, Maternity, Lifestyle, Newborns, Graduates, and Engagements.

I think something that sets me apart from other photographers is that I really care about my clients and do my best to accommodate them from the moment we speak to me delivering their photos to them.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I would LOVE to say I am a risk taker, but I am NOT! Even when it came to me starting the business, I talked myself out of it at least 10 times. It was only my husband Mr. Pucker who really pushed me to start my business.

He saw just how much I loved styling and posing our kids that he thought you need to do this. If I had never taken that leap of faith and bet on myself, I would have seen all the moments with clients that I cherish so much!
